The various classes of functions and their graphs are explored. Functionclasses include linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential,logarithmic and trigonometric. Skills and concepts needed for calculus (MATH221) are emphasized.

PREREQ: Requires a grade of C- or better in MATH 010 or students must achieve an acceptable score on the Math Placement Assessment in accordance with current standards determined by the Department of Mathematical Sciences. ANTIREQ: Students who received credit in MATH 117, MATH 221, MATH 222, MATH 231, MATH 241, MATH 242, or MATH 243 are not eligible to take this course without permission.
