Program Requirements

COMBINED BS/MBA PROGRAM

The four-year curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Data Science degree contains required courses and electives that prepare the student for the Master in Business Administration (MBA) curriculum. With this 4+1 plan and the proper scheduling of MBA classes, Mathematics and Data Science students can enter the MBA program fulltime with the possibility of completion within one year. Students work closely with their academic advisor and can take two MBA courses (6 credits) in their senior year that may be able to count toward their undergraduate degree.

Students seeking admissions to the MBA program should connect with their undergraduate academic advisor to determine appropriate coursework (at the undergraduate and graduate level) to be completed in the initial four years.

Provisional admission to the MBA program may be obtained in the spring of a student’s junior year. Full graduate admission is based on the fulfillment of the undergraduate degree, GPA, quantitative skills, work experience, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, maturity, and a personal interview. Those accepted into the MBA program may be considered for graduate assistantships and graduate internships upon earning their bachelor’s degree.

Applicable tuition and fees are those for matriculated undergraduate students for the first four years. During the fifth year of study, and any subsequent period if it becomes necessary, applicable tuition and fees are those for matriculated MBA graduate students. The MBA degree is granted upon completing all requirements with a grade point average of at least 3.0.
