The Bachelor of Science in Medical Diagnostics/Medical and Molecular Sciences (MS) 4+1 is available for highly motivated undergraduate students to complete the Medical Diagnostics (BS) degree and the Medical and Molecular Sciences (MS) degree in a total of five years of full-time study. All requirements for both degree programs must be satisfied. This program applies to students in the Medical Diagnostics (BS) program with the Pre-Physician Assistant concentration as well. See program pages for each degree (and concentration, if applicable) for a full list of requirements. Interested students in the Medical Diagnostics major should apply for the BS/MS 4+1 program in the spring of their sophomore year. Students are required to have a 3.0 GPA at the time of application to the BS/MS 4+1 program. Students will work with their advisor to select courses that meet their interests and goals and that will fulfill the requirements for both degree programs.
- Students will complete an additional 26 credits of graduate coursework required for the MS in Medical and Molecular Sciences degree upon completion of the undergraduate degree.
- Students must achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA (B average) in their graduate work to earn the MS in Medical and Molecular Sciences (no course grade below C- will apply to the graduate program requirements).
